From Kickoff
to Launch.
Every build is a little different. Ours fall into three shapes. Here is the honest calendar for each one, so you can plan around it instead of guessing.
Before we start
The clock starts at kickoff
Not at signature, not at first email. Our kickoff call is week one, day one. Everything on this page counts forward from there.
Feedback sets the pace
These ranges assume review notes come back in about three business days. Fast reviews land you on the early end. Slower ones move the finish line with them.
Content is the long pole
Copy, photography, and logins are the single most common reason a project drifts. The earlier we have them, the smoother everything after runs.
Foundation
A clean, well built site with the essentials handled. Right for service businesses, new brands, and anyone who needs a strong presence without a lot of moving parts.
Discovery + Kickoff
Week 1We walk through your goals, audience, competitors, and what the site actually has to do. You approve a sitemap and a page by page outline before anything gets designed.
Content + Assets
Weeks 1 to 2You gather copy and photography while discovery wraps. We send a simple content outline so you know exactly what goes where and nothing gets written twice.
Design
Weeks 2 to 3Homepage first to set the visual direction, then applied across the rest. Two rounds of revisions included.
Build
Weeks 3 to 5Everything gets built in Squarespace. Responsive behavior, forms, and SEO basics all wired up and tested.
QA + Launch
Weeks 5 to 6You review a staging link. One round of build revisions included. Then we handle redirects, domain connection, and go live.
Signature
A more built out site with real functionality behind it. This is the tier for businesses that need the site to do work, not just exist.
Discovery + Strategy
Weeks 1 to 2Deeper than Foundation. We map user flows, define the functionality, and confirm every integration before design starts. You approve a sitemap, a functional outline, and an integration list.
Content + Assets
Weeks 1 to 4Copy, photography, and anything that needs to migrate from an existing site. We send a structured content doc organized page by page.
Design
Weeks 3 to 6Homepage concept first, then interior page templates built from it. Three rounds of revisions included.
Build + Integration
Weeks 6 to 10Full build, plus wiring and testing every integration. Integration testing is the piece most likely to need an extra beat, especially when a third party vendor is in the loop.
QA + Launch
Weeks 10 to 12Cross browser and cross device testing, form and integration testing, staging review. Two rounds of build revisions included. Then redirects, domain, and launch.
Custom
Some projects do not fit a shape, and we would rather scope them honestly than force them into a range.
Discovery Sprint
2 to 3 WeeksA short paid engagement to define the thing properly. Technical requirements, user flows, platform decisions, and the pieces that carry real risk.
Scope + Schedule
End of SprintYou get a real timeline and a real number instead of a guess. If you decide to keep going, the same five stages apply from there.
What we need from you
- Copy and photography by the dates in your content outline
- Feedback consolidated into one response per round
- One decision maker who gives final approval
- Logins and access for anything we are connecting
What tends to move a date
- Content arriving later than planned
- Review rounds stretching past a week
- New pages or features added mid project
- Third party tools that need vendor support
- Approvals routed through a larger group
Set it now,
not later.
Not sure where your project lands? Ask before we start. We would rather build the schedule together than adjust it under pressure.
